Travel Nuclear Medicine Technician
An established healthcare organization seeks certified Nuclear Medicine Technologists for 90-day onsite contracts in Hartford, Connecticut. The department performs a broad range of diagnostic nuclear imaging for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency populations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals per regulatory and departmental protocols
- Perform planar, SPECT, and SPECT/CT imaging across a broad range of clinical indications
- Acquire and process images to diagnostic quality standards for radiologist interpretation
- Operate gamma cameras and imaging workstations safely and efficiently
- Monitor patients before, during, and after imaging procedures
- Document radiopharmaceutical administration, dosimetry, and quality control accurately
- Follow all radiation safety and NRC compliance requirements
Requirements
- ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification in good standing
- Active Connecticut nuclear medicine license or eligibility
- Minimum 1 year clinical nuclear medicine experience
- BLS certification
- Must reside 60+ miles from facility (travel assignment requirement)
Preferred Qualifications
- SPECT/CT or PET experience
- Cardiac nuclear medicine experience
- Experience in a high-volume imaging department
