CTR Group is seeking a Production Manager Food Processing - Bilingual (English & Spanish) in the Suffolk, VA area for a Direct-Hire career opportunity with benefits!

Salary Range: $50K - $65K plus Performance Bonus

SUMMARY:

The Food Production Manager oversees the manufacturing process of food products, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with safety and hygiene standards. This role involves managing production teams, optimizing workflows, and coordinating with various departments to achieve production targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production Management:
• • Plan, organize, and oversee the daily food production process.
  • Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining quality and efficiency.
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and packaging supplies.
• Quality Control & Compliance:
• • Ensure all products meet company, customer and regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, USDA, HACCP).
  • Enforce safety, food safety protocols and quality assurance procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain compliance.
• Team Leadership & Training:
• • Supervise, train, and evaluate production staff to ensure high performance.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage employee schedules, workload distribution, and conflict resolution.
• Process Improvement & Cost Control:
• • Identify areas for efficiency improvement and implement cost-effective solutions.
  • Optimize production processes to reduce waste and increase output.
  • Maintain accurate production records and reports.
• Health & Safety Compliance:
• • Ensure adherence to workplace safety standards and hygiene protocols.
  • Conduct safety training and enforce proper use of equipment and protective gear.
  • Investigate and report workplace incidents and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in food manufacturing or production management.
• Bi-lingual highly recommended
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations (HACCP, GMP, FDA, USDA).
• Ability to troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Standing for extended periods, lifting to 50 lbs., and operating machinery.
• Exposure to temperature variations, noise, and food production equipment.
