Body Shop Estimator

Estimator PositionThe purpose of the Estimator position is to ensure an extraordinary client experience while creating client advocates. To act as a liaison between the client and the body shop and to estimate the cost of repairing clients damaged vehicle.Responsibilities include:Must be able to drive and operate vehicleGreet clients and educate them on the repair processExamine damaged vehicles for dents, scratches, broken glass, and other damage requiring repair, replacement, or repainting, for related and unrelated accident damageExamine interior for evidence of fire, water, or other damageDetermine feasibility of repair or replacement of parts, such as bumpers, fenders, and doorsEstimates cost of mechanical, electrical, or other repairsCompute cost of replacement parts and labor to restore vehicle to condition specified by clientPrepares and explains itemized estimate to clientsPrepare a work order for each vehicleObtain required signatures and authorizations for repairsNegotiate with the insurance company on repair claim costsSchedule and coordinates repairs with techniciansNotify the client when repairs are completed and the vehicle is ready for deliveryKeep clients informed of progress every other dayOrder parts on repairs, in cooperation with techniciansReview supplemental damage with technicians and insurance adjustersOversee vehicle repair throughout the repair processKeeps client informed of repair status with updates given at client's requestQuality inspect the vehicle following repairs to verify that repairs have been done properlyHandles telephone calls regarding vehicle statusUpdate Body Shop Manager daily on car statusAllocate the work to the body and paint techs on a fair basis and in such a manner to ensure a smooth flow of work to each technicianKnow and understand the Client Concern Resolution (CCR) process and use the program to achieve client satisfactionKnow and understand the Park Place Privacy and Information Security Policies, and adhere to the requirementsAttend weekly department meetingsHigh school diploma or equivalentMust be at least eighteen years of ageMust have a valid driver's license and meet company MVR policy requirementsPay and Recognition:Weekly payPaid holidays & paid time offPaid trainingStock Awards (select management and front-line team member's eligible!)Insurance / Retirement:Insurance: medical, vision, dental, accident, critical illness and hospital indemnity plansUp to 12 weeks paid pregnancy leave (disability leave)Health savingsFlex spending accounts (tax free)Short-term and Long-term disability plansLife Insurance (Whole Life and Term)401k with company matchLearning, Tuition Assistance and Career Development:Digital career path tool to assist with career developmentContinuous training through Asbury's Internal Learning Management SystemProfessional growth and development opportunitiesAdditional advantages:Student loan relief resourcesEmployee assistance programEmployee discounts on vehicle purchases, parts and service repairsScholarship awardsOpportunities to join our community service initiativesAggressive Employee referral program with bonus opportunitiesMust be able to pass pre-employment screenings (background and drug test)Asbury Automotive Group is an equal opportunity employer.
