Position Description
Seeking analyst with a solid financial and analytical background to support client facing review and decision support activities. In this role, the analyst helps ensure financial accuracy and operational transparency by assessing incoming data, documentation, and transactions against established standards.

The analyst applies structured analytical methods to verify key details, reconcile amounts, identify inconsistencies, and develop clear, actionable recommendations. This position requires strong prioritization skills to manage workload effectively, meet service expectations, and maintain compliance with organizational policies.

The role also involves cross functional collaboration with financial, operational, and oversight stakeholders to resolve questions and move validated items through the review process efficiently. Successful candidates bring critical thinking, attention to detail, and strong communication skills to support timely, reliable, and compliant financial operations.

This position is located in Washington, D.C..

Your future duties and responsibilities
. Review and evaluate financial information to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with organizational standards.
. Analyze supporting data to validate assumptions, identify trends, and inform decision making.
. Verify that financial transactions, requests, or proposals align with established policies, guidelines, and funding parameters.
. Gather, organize, and maintain relevant documentation to support financial reviews, reporting, and audit readiness.
. Reconcile financial figures by comparing datasets, reports, and system outputs to confirm consistency.
. Identify issues such as variances, anomalies, or data inconsistencies and escalate them as appropriate.
. Prioritize tasks based on business timelines, workload requirements, and the importance of financial impact.
. Produce clear, concise summaries that present findings, recommendations, and key insights for stakeholders.
. Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to clarify questions, support decision processes, and ensure timely progression of financial activities.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail; adept at reconciling amounts, spotting duplicates, and identifying discrepancies.
Ability to quickly learn and utilize enterprise financial and reporting systems. 
Familiarity with award/obligation/funding concepts and the ability to confirm authorization and eligibility using enterprise finance systems.
Working knowledge of internal controls and payment integrity practices (e.g., documentation standards, segregation of duties, approval workflows).
Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups) and comfort working with datasets, logs, and supporting artifacts (invoices, revisions, correspondence, attachments).
Clear, concise business writing—capable of preparing summary notes and recommendations that stand up to stakeholder review.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize by risk, value, and aging to meet service level targets.
Effective collaboration and communication skills; able to partner with finance, approvals, and voucher examination teams to resolve issues.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business (or equivalent experience).
Desired qualifications/non essential skills required:
Experience with enterprise ERP/financial systems (Momentum Financials)
Experience with DHHS Payment Management System (PMS)
Exposure to government grants/contracts or regulated payment environments.
Basic SQL or BI/reporting tools for traceability and evidence gathering.
Process improvement mindset (documenting steps, creating checklists, tightening controls).
Relevant certifications (e.g., CGFM, CFE, CPA) or coursework in audit, compliance, or government financial management.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $62,900.00 $153,300.00.
