IERUS develops value for our defense and commercial customers through accelerations of the technology life cycle: identifying, creating, transitioning, and producing technologies with integrity of purpose and product.IERUS is looking for bright, talented, motivated, and dedicated employees in the engineering field, and offers competitive compensation and benefits package.This is an opportunity to join the IERUS team as a Systems Engineer supporting a large Missile Defense Agency program.Responsibilities:Develop and publish corporate business automation plans using cost-effective delivery technologies to support major corporate strategiesPerforms complex software design integrating multiple technologiesProvides architectural guidelines for all software design activities across current and future technology environmentsMaintains up-to-date knowledge of technologies, planning, design, and analytical methodologiesResponsible for the design and architectural guidelines for current and future software technology initiativesMust have a demonstrated ability to lead a team of high-performing individuals across a multi-site, multi-disciplinary organizationAbility to analyze high-level needs and, through a structured, logical approach, refine them into an evolving architecture that culminates in a fielded productRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field with 5 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree with 3 years of relevant work experience; or a PhD with 1 year of relevant work experience.Applicants must have a current, active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+ CE, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.) at the time of application, which is required to start.Must be a U.S. Citizen with an Active DoD Secret security clearanceWillingness to travel between development sites (Colorado Springs or Huntsville) may be requiredMust have excellent verbal and written communication skills, can work independently, and possess the poise and flexibility required to work in a highly dynamic environmentMust be a self-starter who can initiate research and clearly document resultsMust possess a strong understanding of system software deployment architectures and continuous integration/continuous delivery ( CI/CD )Must have demonstrated leadership skills over software projectsAbility to document architectures using system modeling tools, such as CAMEO or Enterprise ArchitectAbility to understand and decompose requirements to support verification and validation testing of software componentsAbility to generate detailed, repeatable, automated test proceduresAbility to extract data to support analysis requirementsAbility to generate procedures that test functionalityAbility to apply Agile and Lean Product Development principles and to train others in a DevOps-type environmentShould understand the Ballistic Missile Defense System ( BMDS )Able to write and implement engineering plans for a project.Proven experience working in a team environment is requiredPrevious experience should demonstrate the technical skills and responsibilities for the position cited hereWill have previously architected automation pipelines to enable effective development in environments with rapidly changing requirements, design challenges that require novel solutions, fast-paced work, and tight deadlinesPreferred Qualifications:Certification: INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) CertificationCertification: Object Management Group Certified Systems Modeling Professional - Model Builder Fundamental (OCSMP - MBF)Location: Huntsville, ALIERUS Technologies is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
