Corporate Compliance Officer

Job Description The Corporate Compliance Officer will play a vital role in administering and enhancing First Hawaiian Bank's compliance initiatives. This includes overseeing the bank's compliance training program, privacy policies, and regulatory data reporting requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with various teams, including Human Resources, to ensure the bank's compliance with laws and regulations, such as the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), and Section 1071 Small Business Lending data collection and reporting. Compensation The salary range for this role is $63,000 - $90,000/year; commensurate with experience. The successful candidate will be hired for the level of the position that aligns with their experience. Work Schedule Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM (hours may vary) Responsibilities Manage and enhance the bank's compliance training program, working closely with HR to identify training needs and develop an annual plan. Maintain and update compliance-related courses, track completion, and provide technical support for the training database. Oversee new hire compliance training and coordinate training sessions for Compliance Officers/Coordinators. Monitor and maintain the bank's privacy policies, ensuring compliance with Regulation P and other privacy laws. Prepare, analyze, and report data for HMDA and CRA small business loan data, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Support the maintenance of RiskExec, a system for loan data management, and analyze account-related data to identify compliance risks. Provide periodic reporting to the Board and management on compliance training activities. Conduct research and stay updated on compliance laws and regulations, ensuring the bank's practices are aligned. Collaborate with the CRA Officer and Corporate Compliance Division for data analytic needs. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in compliance, audit, data management, or IT. 2-3 years of experience in compliance, regulatory examination, audit, or banking with technology/data responsibilities. Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with MS SQL Server/MS Access. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks. Ability to read and understand compliance laws and regulations, and perform related research. Experience with compliance training program management is an asset. Knowledge of privacy laws and regulations, especially Regulation P. Familiarity with HMDA and CRA reporting requirements is preferred. A certification such as CRCM, CIA, CPA, or JD is desirable. #J-18808-Ljbffr First Hawaiian Bank
