SITE WORK FOREMAN

Primary purpose Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in site construction, such as sanitary and storm sewer construction, concrete walks and structures, parking lot and drainage infrastructure. Typical Duties Supervise crew of 3-8 workers, consisting of carpenters, laborers and heavy equipment operators. Examine blueprints to determine construction methods, plan and maintain construction schedules, place phone calls to coordinate work with supervisors and handle delivery of materials and communications with other trades. Intellectually the foreman must be able to apply principles of rational systems, time reporting systems, job-cost systems and record such systems with computers or paper recording devices. Should be skilled in computation of calculations of volumes, percentages, profit and loss, weights and measures. Foreman must adhere to OSHA and company safety policies, assure employees work in a safe environment, and assist in training programs. Needs to understand basic verbal and safety instruction in English and work in a team environment with positive and productive results. Be dependable, reliable and exceptional in work performance.
