As landscape architects and land planners, we understand the importance of blending vision and regulation to create exceptional design. Located in Durham, we are a full-service landscape architecture and land planning design firm centrally located in the heart of the Triangle region of North Carolina, where much of our design work takes place. Working in many of the municipalities in the Triangle and beyond, we’ve had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects varying from small infill developments to larger master planned communities. Position Overview We are seeking a Landscape Designer with a passion for innovative design. This role is ideal for a a designer who has 2-3 years of experience and is pursuing LA licensure. This job will involve working on a variety of projects including but not limited to: commercial plans, residential plans, subdivisions, rezonings, landscape design, conceptual project planning, open space design, and entrance monument design. Key Responsibilities Collaboration with other team members, ensuring high-quality design deliverables. Collaborate with architects, engineers, surveyors, and other consultants. Utilize AutoCAD and other design software to create designs and presentation materials. Review and understand design codes, such as Unified Development Ordinances. Develop plantings plans and schedules, conceptual site layouts, site and monument sign details, and other design-related tasks. Assist senior staff with preparation of rezonings, site plans, and other submittals. Attend meetings and site visits as necessary. Perform other design-related duties as they are assigned. Qualifications Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or comparable field. Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant professional experience. Preference to applicant who has experience working with local (Triangle area of NC) municipalities. Developing a plan to pursue LA licensure. Strong portfolio showcasing a range of project types and scales. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office. Excellent communication, critical thinking, collaboration and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills to facilitate accurate, efficient, and quality project deliverables. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
