MRI Technologist - Full Time

MRI Technologist Position

A leading healthcare client is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join their hospital team in Craig, CO in a permanent day-shift role. You will accurately follow physicians' scanning instructions, prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, and expertly operate MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images while maintaining patient safety and comfort.

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration in Radiology (R) with CT and MRI credentials.
• State licensure as required for radiologic technologists.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of background check, pre-employment drug screen, and Employee Health meeting prior to start.
• Ability to operate MRI equipment per manufacturer recommendations and follow ALARA radiation safety principles.
• Demonstrated competency in maintaining accurate patient records in an electronic health record (EHR), including charging for procedures and supplies.
• Willingness and ability to assist, cross-train, and work in other imaging modalities as needed, and to accept occasional call, overtime, or holiday shifts.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two years of prior experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist with experience in CT and MRI.
• Cross-training or experience in additional modalities such as X-ray, Fluoroscopy including C-arm/OR work, DEXA, and Mammography.
• Experience with PACS, RIS, and HIS electronic systems.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot equipment and coordinate service/maintenance as needed.

Position Overview and Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform MRI procedures according to established protocols and department policy.
• Provide patient education and ensure understanding and cooperation for imaging procedures.
• Practice radiation safety and infection control standards to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, order and maintain supplies, and document patient care in the EHR.
• Assist with clerical duties, phone reception, patient transportation, and departmental workflow as required.
• Participate in performance improvement, annual training, and maintain confidentiality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Train, assist, or cross-train imaging staff members as directed.
