Pharmacist - Bellevue, NE

A healthcare facility is seeking a Pharmacist to provide dedicated inpatient and behavioral health pharmacy services in Council Bluffs, IA. This contract assignment will begin on 5/18 and continue until a permanent pharmacist is hired. The position offers weekend shifts, working Saturday and Sunday for 6 hours each day.


Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and timely to inpatient and behavioral health patients.
• Utilize Omnicell systems for medication management and automation.
• Repackage medications using Milt, Medi-dose, or HCL systems as needed.
• Load medications into automated dispensing machines and run restock reports regularly.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper medication therapy.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards related to pharmacy operations.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Current Iowa (IA) pharmacist license required.
• Familiarity with Omnicell automated dispensing systems is preferred.
• Experience with repackaging medications using Milt, Medi-dose, or HCL systems is desirable.
• Basic knowledge of loading drugs into automated machines and performing restock reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently during weekend shifts.
• Commitment to patient safety and effective communication in a behavioral health setting.

Location:

• Council Bluffs, IA - Inpatient/Behavioral Health pharmacy environment.

Shift/Hours:

• Saturday and Sunday, 6 hours per day.
