Job Title: Project Manager – Non-IT (Real Estate / Construction)

Job Description

This role offers an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to lead real estate and construction projects from inception to completion while delivering exceptional outcomes for clients. You will manage multiple projects, drive continuous improvement in project delivery, and enhance the overall client experience. The position is based in the New England region, with on-site work required three days per week and the flexibility to sit in Boston, New Hampshire, or Rhode Island while supporting a key opening in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Responsibilities

• Lead and manage projects from initiation through completion, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, resources, risk management, and communication strategies.
• Monitor project progress against milestones and timelines, proactively identifying risks and issues and implementing mitigation plans.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring clear, consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate and facilitate collaboration among cross-functional project teams, consultants, contractors, and other partners.
• Provide day-to-day leadership to project teams, setting expectations, clarifying responsibilities, and supporting high performance.
• Track project finances, monitor budget adherence, and prepare accurate cost forecasts and financial reports.
• Implement and oversee robust quality control processes to ensure deliverables meet or exceed client expectations and industry standards.
• Ensure projects comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards where applicable.
• Promote and adopt digital tools and technologies to enhance project planning, tracking, reporting, and collaboration.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying process enhancements and implementing innovative project management practices.
• Adapt quickly to changing priorities, reprioritizing tasks and resources as needed to maintain project momentum.
• Contribute to a positive team culture that emphasizes collaboration, inclusivity, professional growth, and shared success.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and learning to stay current with project management best practices and industry trends.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4–6 years of experience in project management, preferably within the real estate or construction industry.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools for planning, scheduling, tracking, and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a structured, deadline-driven environment.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and support project teams to achieve high levels of engagement and performance.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and build trust with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal skills to foster effective relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail in managing documentation, schedules, and deliverables.
• Advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to address complex project challenges.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Professional certification in project management, such as Project Management Professional (PMP).
• Experience working in a global and matrixed organization with cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.
• Experience in construction management and familiarity with healthcare or similar complex environments.
• Knowledge of industry-specific building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards.
• Experience using digital tools and technologies to support project management and collaboration.
• Exposure to real estate, industrial, or technology-related projects is beneficial.
• Ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at different levels to achieve project goals.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret project data, financials, and performance metrics.
• Interest in and commitment to shaping the future of real estate and the built environment through innovation.

Work Environment

This role is based in the New England region with the ability to sit in Boston, New Hampshire, or Rhode Island, and includes on-site work three days per week to support a key facility in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. You will work within a professional, collaborative environment that combines real estate, construction, and technology-focused projects. The pace is fast and dynamic, with multiple concurrent projects and evolving priorities. You will use modern project management software and digital tools to plan, track, and deliver projects, and you will interact regularly with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal teams. This is a Contract position based out of Portsmouth, NH.

The pay range for this position is $68.00 - $70.00/hr.
