Plant Equipment Reliability Mechanic (Corrugator & Converting)

Keep the line alive—own reliability from the ground upPicture this: a corrugator flags a vibration spike, a converting line is queued, and production is counting on you. You step in—lockout applied, panels open, diagnostics running—and you return the asset stronger than before. That’s the impact of a Plant Equipment Reliability Mechanic. You’ll install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility systems, balancing planned maintenance with urgent restores in a safety-critical environment.The impact you’ll makeProtect uptime by resolving mechanical and electrical issues on corrugator, converting, and facility equipment.Execute a balanced workload of PMs, PdMs, routine repairs, and projects—and validate repairs before equipment returns to service.Document fully in LLumin CMMS: problem statements, actions taken, parts usage, measurements, and follow-up requests.Drive root-cause investigations that eliminate repeat failures and raise reliability.Safety commitmentsPractice Lockout/Tagout, Arc Flash, PPE, Hot Work, and confined space procedures every time.Participate in daily safety huddles and maintenance meetings.Your toolkitTechnical strengthMechanical aptitude across bearings, chains, belts, gearboxes, and related assemblies.Electrical fundamentals on motors, sensors, switches (drives preferred).Fluency with mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and OEM documentation.Industrial equipment repair experience.Execution & ownershipFinish assigned work within the shift when feasible; do not pass incomplete work without clear notes and direct communication to the Maintenance Supervisor.Deliver precise shift handoffs; support peers and production as a reliable partner.Assist with training and onboarding of new technicians when appropriate.Preventive & predictive routinesPerform scheduled PM/PdM tasks thoroughly; identify/report emerging failures.Recommend enhancements to PM effectiveness and cadence.Conduct condition monitoring (visual, vibration, temperature, etc., as trained).Parts & materialsSpecify and request correct parts; coordinate with MRO/Parts teams.Return surplus items to stock and improve data quality for parts records.Growth path and credentialsHigh school diploma or GED required; technical training/apprenticeship preferred.Corrugated or comparable industrial environment experience preferred.Successfully demonstrate all Class B qualifications.Provide your own tools to perform maintenance tasks.Prior corrugated experience preferred; interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions.Understand industrial operations, production processes, quality expectations, and PM/PdM concepts.Licensing & certificationsMaintain a current Lift Truck Operator License and any required area/equipment certifications.Additional certifications as required (e.g., LOTO, Arc Flash).Physical & environmental conditionsRegular standing/walking/talking-hearing;
