The nurse will provide care to a diverse patient population with multiple comorbidities. Patients may include those experiencing trauma, stroke, sepsis, and complicated heart conditions. The unit includes a secure locked psychiatric area and utilizes flexible staffing to meet patient needs. Typical patient ratios are 4:1, with additional support during acute surges. The nurse will use various equipment, including ultrasound machines, IV skills, and infusion devices. The role requires motivation, hard work, problem-solving abilities, and a genuine desire to care for patients. Weekends may be required every other week for contract labor. No floating to other areas will be required for this position.
