REGISTERED NURSE DIRECTOR - NEONATAL INTENSIVE CARE UNIT

Job Description Registered Nurse Director candidates for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit will have the following job responsibilities: The patient care director will have operational responsibility and accountability for care delivery within their business unit and hospital. Provide leadership for improving patient care, planning, staff performance, systems improvements, and other programs that support the culture of the facility, as well as HealthONE's strategic objectives. The director will work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to enhance and drive an integrated model of person-centered care. Provide leadership and coordination of clinical practice standards and ensure clinical care is provided according to quality, licensing, and accreditation standards. Supports an environment of continuous improvement, promoting evidence-based practice and patient care delivery. Measures actual budgetary performance and drives systematic improvement in collaboration with ACNO. May also provide direct patient care when needed. Job Qualifications Registered Nurse Director candidates for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit must meet the minimum job qualifications: Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse or current active multistate Registered Nurse license. Current BLS certification. Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN required. MSN, or other healthcare-related advanced degree, e.g., MBA, or MHA is preferred. Experience: At least five years of acute care/specialty nursing is desirable in the area of specialty.
