CNC Machinist

Minerva, OH - JOB 26-00748 Pay Range: $30.00 - $33.00/HR Full-Time Permanent Position with Benefits

This position is ideal for a skilled machinist capable of independently setting up, operating, and programming CNC Lathes using G-code, M-code, and CAD/CAM software to manufacture precision parts from complex technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC Lathes directly from blueprints, technical drawings, or hand sketches.
• Interpret complex engineering blueprints, determine optimal tool paths, and execute tight-tolerance machining runs independently.
• Utilize and edit G-code and M-code programs to ensure efficient and accurate machining cycles.
• Inspect completed components using precision measurement instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
• Apply CAD/CAM programming knowledge (Mastercam preferred) to streamline production processes and project completion.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience setting up, operating, and programming CNC Lathes.
• Demonstrated knowledge of G-codes and M-codes; experience with HAAS CNC machines is a strong plus.
• Proficient in operating precision inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc.).
• Ability to independently read, interpret, and work from complex blueprints and hand sketches.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (Mastercam experience is preferred).
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as required by production needs.
