Instructional Designer

Role Overview If you enjoy creating captivating and interactive learning solutions within a professional services environment, the Instructional Designer role leads the content creation process and develops highly interactive learning solutions designed to improve consultant performance at Cornerstone Research. The role curates, designs, and develops multimedia content that meets identified learning outcomes and builds knowledge and capability for the consultant population. Responsibilities Design and develop learner‑centered, performance‑based solutions using e‑learning, instructor‑led training, online classrooms, virtual learning environments, performance support, distance learning, etc. Create highly effective interactive content using Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, Articulate 360, and Microsoft 365; includes digital assets such as graphics, animations, 3‑D modeling, video, narrated presentations, layouts, and templates. Adhere to project scope, timelines, budget, and priorities for all assigned activities. Collaborate with Program Managers to evaluate effectiveness of programs—including development of learning metrics. Identify and recommend innovative instructional design strategies, technology practices, and best‑in‑class practices to increase engagement, usability, and effectiveness. Proactively collaborate with team members, subject‑matter experts, and firm leaders. Qualifications 5+ years of relevant experience with increasing capability and responsibility; professional services experience preferred. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, Audition, InDesign, Dreamweaver), Canva, Articulate 360 (Storyline, Studio, Replay), and Microsoft 365. Experience with AI learning tools a plus. Exceptional writing and editing skills, focusing on clear, concise style. Ability to multi‑task, prioritize projects, and maintain high attention to detail. Experience designing for multiple devices (mobile, tablet, desktop). Strong communication skills, able to convey ideas simply and clearly. Flexibility, creativity, positive outlook, and commitment to excellence. Examples of work required for this position. Bachelor’s degree in multimedia, graphic design, digital marketing, fine arts, instructional design, or related discipline. Benefits and Compensation Base salary ranges vary by location: Boston: $88,200 – $108,500 Chicago: $84,200 – $103,500 LosAngeles: $88,500 – $108,800 NewYork: $90,100 – $110,700 SanFrancisco/SiliconValley: $96,600 – $121,100 Washington, DC: $86,500 – $106,300 Annual performance bonus target of 10%, discretionary. A hybrid work model (2‑3 days per week in office). Relocation assistance not available.
