Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and financial modeling
• CPA designation or active pursuit of CPA certification preferred
• Homebuilding, construction, or public accounting experience strongly preferred

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team in Daytona Beach. The Staff Accountant will work closely with the Corporate Controller to support financial reporting, month-end close, budgeting, audits, reconciliations, and operational analysis. This position requires strong analytical skills, independent judgment, and a commitment to financial accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements
• Coordinate month-end closing schedules and prepare journal entries
• Assist with annual budgets, projections, and budget-to-actual analysis
• Review financial data for accuracy and compliance
• Prepare schedules and analysis for annual audits
• Maintain and improve accounting processes and internal controls
• Prepare bank and inventory reconciliations
• Review HOA financial statements and assist with accounting inquiries
• Prepare routine and ad-hoc financial reports for management
• Analyze financial trends and recommend operational improvements
