Regulatory Analyst

Responsibilities The Regulatory Analyst is responsible for independently performing core regulatory compliance services for the E&S Compliance Team. Reporting to the Manager, the role includes completing compliance processes related to complaints, legal mail, regulator inquiries, economic sanctions, and more, while also supporting or documenting compliance by the businesses served by the Group Compliance Team. Key Functions / Duties Appointments/Licensing – Process new licenses and renewals, handle appointments in various licensing systems, and coordinate work with team members. Consumer Complaints – Receive and process new complaints and follow‑ups, contact states for extensions, send reminders to staff, and file responses with documentation. Mail Distribution & Telephone – Process legal mail and cover regulatory phone calls as needed. Regulator Inquiries/Communication – Communicate with regulators in coordination with Manager direction. Data Calls – Handle and aggregate data calls, and process premium by broker reporting if required. Economic Sanctions/OFAC – Provide backup coverage for OFAC and process OFAC alerts in Lexis Nexis and manually. Medicare – Assist Claims operations with Medicare compliance. Professional Development – Attend trade organization webinars and training sessions to stay informed on industry trends, insurance regulations, and role responsibilities. Other duties as assigned. Education Requirements High school diploma or general education degree (GED) – required. Insurance designations (e.g., ASLI, CPCU) or college‑level coursework – preferred. Minimum 1–3 years insurance‑related experience – required. Prior legal or regulatory compliance experience – preferred. Prior paralegal experience – preferred. Professional Qualifications Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams). Knowledge of Westlaw, Nexis/Lexis, Walters Kluwer, or similar subscription services – preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical skills. Ability to work under time constraints and be self‑motivated. Ability to work independently.
