We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join our growing team in Columbia, South Carolina. This individual will play a critical role in leading field operations and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. What Youll Do Project & Field Leadership Manage day-to-day jobsite operations for commercial construction projects from groundbreaking through project completion Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to maintain project schedules and productivity Develop and implement short-term and long-term work plans to ensure project milestones are achieved Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve field issues Maintain a strong on-site presence while promoting accountability and teamwork Safety & Quality Oversight Enforce company safety policies and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements Conduct regular jobsite inspections and safety meetings Monitor workmanship to ensure all work meets project specifications and quality standards Identify and address quality concerns before they impact project performance or client satisfaction Communication & Coordination Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Trade Partners Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates on schedule, progress, and field conditions Review construction documents, plans, specifications, and shop drawings to support successful project execution Maintain accurate jobsite documentation, reports, and daily logs What You Bring Required Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent managing commercial construction projects Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, sequencing, and best practices Thorough understanding of safety regulations, quality control, and jobsite management Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and project schedules Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Preferred Qualifications Experience managing projects across a variety of commercial sectors Proficiency with construction management software and technology platforms OSHA certifications or other relevant industry credentials Experience mentoring and developing field personnel Why Join Boyer Commercial Construction?
