Key Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher, especially in self-contained environments
• Familiarity and comfort working with students with mild disabilities
• Ability to maintain a compassionate, supportive, and structured classroom environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills to collaborate with staff, students, and families
• Commitment to onsite instruction; remote options are not available for this role

Primary Responsibilities:

• Instruct and support students in a self-contained classroom at the middle school level, addressing individualized education plan (IEP) goals
• Develop and implement differentiated lessons tailored to varying learning needs
• Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and administrators to provide comprehensive educational services
• Maintain thorough documentation on student progress, participation, and achievement
• Engage families in their child’s educational journey, communicating regularly regarding progress and concerns
• Foster a safe, nurturing environment conducive to both academic and social development

This is a full-time contract role, 35 hours per week, running through December 18, 2026. The position is entirely onsite, allowing for immersive instruction and real-time collaboration with the school community.
