This is an entry-level opportunity, and training is provided on the equipment used for order selecting.You will operate a center rider/tugger, use a scanner to locate products, and build pallets with grocery items for shipment. Candidates should be comfortable with physical work, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working in both room-temperature and refrigerated areas.Key ResponsibilitiesPick grocery products according to scanner instructionsOperate a center rider/tugger to travel throughout the warehouseLocate the correct products and quantitiesLoad and organize products securely onto palletsBuild accurate and stable pallets for shipmentMaintain productivity, speed, and accuracy standardsPerform general material-handling dutiesFollow warehouse safety proceduresWork in both ambient and refrigerated warehouse areasQualificationsNo previous order selecting experience requiredAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Strong counting skillsGood spatial awareness when building palletsComfortable performing physical work throughout the shiftMust be willing to work in refrigerated temperaturesReliable attendanceAbility to work until daily production is completedPreferred ExperienceExperience with any of the following is a plus:Order pickingPallet jacksMaterial handlingWarehouse operationsRF scannersGeneral laborSchedule2nd Shift: Starts at 12:00 PMShift ends when daily production is completed, typically around 8:00 PM to 9:00 PMTwo consecutive weekdays off, either Monday/Tuesday or Tuesday/WednesdayPay & IncentivesBase Pay: $18.00 to $19.00/hour2nd Shift Differential: Additional $1.00/hourContractors can earn up to an additional $6.50/hour when production metrics exceed 105%Production performance is based on accuracy, speed, and efficiencyWork EnvironmentLarge, clean, and organized distribution centerGrocery distribution environmentBoth room-temperature and refrigerated work areasRefrigerated areas require working in cooler temperaturesDry areas are ambient temperature and not climate-controlledThis is a Contract position based out of East St. Louis, IL.The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
