Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager – Internal Controls leads the design, implementation, monitoring, and improvement of financial and operational internal controls to ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and risk management. This role supports month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end processes and collaborates with operations, IT, and audit teams. Key Responsibilities: Lead development, documentation, and maintenance of internal control frameworks Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements Review financial processes to identify control gaps, inefficiencies, and risks Partner with operations, IT, and audit teams to strengthen controls Manage month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end controls related to financial reporting Oversee balance sheet reviews, account reconciliations, journal entry controls, and approval workflows Coordinate internal and external audit requests and remediation plans Monitor segregation of duties, access controls, and delegated authority compliance Track control deficiencies and ensure timely remediation Support risk assessments and testing of key controls, including SOX Provide guidance and training on internal control expectations Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and standardization of accounting processes Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred Minimum 7 years accounting experience Strong knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls Manufacturing experience required; food industry highly preferred Proven ability to present to stakeholders Strong risk assessment and problem‑solving skills High attention to detail and accuracy Advanced Excel and financial systems knowledge Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Preferred Skills: CPA certification preferred MBA preferred CMA preferred Food manufacturing experience highly preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr provide
