Security Officer I - 7309Canterbury Woods Retirement CommunitySaturday and Sunday only (6am-2:30pm)Pay Range: $22.00 - $23.00Summary: Provides security services for residents and employees of the organization. Protects from and responds to fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry by performing the following duties.Detailed responsibilities:Security I - Provides quality Customer Service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers and vendors in a manner to ensure satisfactionPatrols, periodically, outside grounds of campus and lobbies, corridors and public rooms, access points of the facility to ensure safety and security of residents and staffResponds to fire alarms, emergency call switch activation and other emergenciesGraciously warns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles, and devises, reports or expels persons engaging in suspicious or criminal actsInvestigaates and completes resident loss reports and incident reports, gives copies to supervisor and maintains a file on themKeeps accurate log of shift activitiesOccasionally performs emergency janitorial duties and sets thermostatic controls to maintain specified temperature in buildings or cold storage roomsFamiliar with all disaster, fire and other emergency procedures as outlined in facility disaster planPerforms all duties in a safe and efficient manner Wears PPE/safety equipment as required for the job Reports any safety hazards and/or accidents to supervisor - Follows department safety standards, practice body mechanic techniques and participate in campus-wide safety programs - Front Porch is committed to the prevention of accidents by providing equipment with safeguards, personal safety equipment on jobs which require it, and adequate safety instructions to all employees - All employees are required to follow safe work habits in order to prevent injuries to themselves, residents, visitors or other employeesCompetencies and skills: Essential: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formCredentials: Nonessential: Security Guard CardEducation with Equivalent Qualifications: Essential: High School diploma or GEDExperience with Equivalent Qualifications:Benefits & PerksAt Front Porch, we believe in supporting our team members both at work and beyond.
