Dispatcher

Dispatcher Miami, FL Full-Time Central Transportation Shift Hours: 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM The Dispatcher will coordinate, control, and dispatch all levels of service and patient transportation for JHS. Receives calls from JHS employees for patient transportation-related services. Calls vendors for the proper units for patient discharges. Ascertains pertinent information from the caller to determine level of service transport for the patient. Investigates service inquiries, incident reports, and customer service related issues. Completes daily, weekly, and monthly reports assigned by MTC manager. Works in Microsoft Word and Excel for reporting purposes. Ensures that all contractual requirements are met successfully. Works with other departments to identify emerging trends. Participates in training sessions for Dispatcher Certification. Assists with development of goals and objectives for the department. Performs other duties as assigned. Demonstrates behaviors of service excellence and CARE values (Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Expertise). Performs all other related job duties as assigned. Generally requires 0 to 3 years of related experience. High School diploma is required. Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work accurately while meeting multiple deadlines. Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form. Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with critical thinking and professional composure. Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to exercise sound and independent judgment. Knowledge and skill in use of job appropriate technology and software applications. Non-licensed worker. Physical Requirements - Job function is sedentary in nature and requires sitting for extended periods of time. Function may require frequent standing or walking. Must be able to lift or carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
