Box Truck Driver - Maintenance Technician

Location: Baltimore, Maryland

Pay: $22 - $24 per hour

Job Description

• This role is primarily a Box Truck Driver, but you will be responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs at client sites on soda machines.
• The DOT Maintenance Driver is a multifaceted role that combines responsibilities of a Route Technician and a Service Technician.
• The individual will ensure timely delivery of products, manage inventory, clean and service machines, and maintain a professional demeanor while representing the company.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products and complete inventory rotation at client sites.
• Complete invoices and replace promotional materials.
• Perform as a Service Technician, including machine cleaning and maintenance.
• Attend weekly meetings at the service center.
• Handle emergency service or supply calls from the service center or customer service.
• Manage machine movements, installations, and exchanges at certain locations.
• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues.
• Load and unload the company vehicle and manage daily inventory counts.
• Ensure prompt delivery of products and promotional items.
• Discuss new products and promotions with store personnel.
• Train store personnel on ICEE equipment operation.
• Handle COD accounts and manage cash payments responsibly.
• Conduct weekly vehicle checks and complete daily Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR) for DOT vehicles.
• Perform general warehouse duties, including cleaning and organizing.
• Execute other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.

Essential Skills

• Experience as a Service Technician or strong mechanical aptitude.
• Certification by the EPA to handle refrigerant is a plus.
• Graduate of Technical or Vocational school, preferred.
• Valid Real-ID Driver's License.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs. or more regularly.
• Two years of customer service or route driving experience preferred.
• Willingness to drive more than 40% of the time.
• Steel-toed shoes are required.

Work Environment

The role requires driving more than 40% of the time, primarily to client sites such as movie theaters. The individual must be capable of diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing machines as needed. The position includes the use of a company vehicle, uniforms, tools, a cell phone, a tablet, and a gas card.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanover, MD.

Pay and Benefits
