We must carefully balance our needs to lower costs while ensuring high-performance, reliability, and abundant supply. You'll work with our suppliers face-to-face to expand the capabilities of Formlabs and directly improve our products. If a passion for streamlining and optimization inspires you, we want you as a Global Sourcing Manager!What You'll Do:Work directly with R&D to identify and qualify suppliers for new product introductionsOwn a PFEP (Plan for every part) in an NPI BOM - Manage supplier selection, negotiation, and contract execution to secure optimal value, quality, and risk mitigationFacilitate communication of technical requirements between Suppliers and Formlabs R&D teamProactively research new manufacturing technologies or market intelligence to create robust supply chain strategies.Identify supply risks, leads negotiations, and drives continuous improvement in supplier performance and sourcing processesAccountable for leading, tracking and working with R&D to lead supplier manufacturing process development and launch readiness for new products and design changes]Own for cost modeling & cost estimation work of new productsWork directly with our suppliers and contract manufacturers to source and procure material in time for NPI buildsMaintain clear-to-build reports ahead of NPI builds and provide senior leadership updates on material availability, schedule, and program costAbout You:1-5 years post graduate experience working in a strategic sourcing, manufacturing, or supplier quality engineering roleDegree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experienceAble to travel internationally (up to 20%) to visit suppliers for quality audits, QBRs, and relationship buildingExcellent presentation, written and verbal communication skillsExperience developing process quality plans, supplier quality audits, and driving yield improvementsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&THigh attention to detail and skills in data analysisAn independent worker and team player who is excited to work cross-functionally with a wide variety of teamsBonus Skills:3D CAD design, particularly Solidworks2+ years experience with electronics and reading schematicsAdvanced use of spreadsheetsOur Perks & Benefits:Robust equity program to build future wealth through RSUsComprehensive healthcare coverage (Medical, Dental, Vision)Low cost fund options in our 401K and access to advisorsGenerous paid Parental Leave (up to 16 weeks)Tenure-based paid Sabbatical Leave (up to 6 weeks)Flexible Out of Office Plan – Take time when you need itAmple on-site parking & pre-tax commuter benefitsHealthy on-site lunches, snacks, beverages, & treatsRegular sponsored professional development opportunitiesMany opt-in culture events across our diverse communityAnd of course… unlimited 3D printsWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. Full time employees receive equity, in the form of RSUs. Your financial investment will grow with us in accordance to your impact.At Formlabs, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. Your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location and expected impact on the organization.The annual base pay range for this role is: $75,000 —$111,000 USD
