Senior Plant Protection Associate

Senior Plant Protection Associate General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Senior Plant Protection Associate. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. Representative duties and tasks include supervising an established shift operation, officers and administrative functions, supervising the security central monitoring station, scheduling, conducting and overseeing officer training, preparing shift reports, conducting preliminary investigations of incidents, complaints and security violations, responding to emergencies and coordinating emergency response, monitoring compliance with fire and safety requirements, maintaining key control logs, supervising the issuance of locks and keys, monitoring the condition of assigned vehicles, scheduling maintenance, coordinating equipage of security officers, conducting problem-solving meetings, evaluating and defining performance capabilities, reviewing and evaluating on-the-job training for officers, providing team performance feedback, performing a variety of complex assignments, creating and maintaining accurate records, screening and verifying access authorization, maintaining surveillance at ingress and egress points, operating emergency notification, paging, and telephone and radio systems, monitoring and controlling personnel and material traffic, monitoring CCTV, alarm and access control systems, responding to alarms and other emergency situations, patrolling the facility and grounds, enforcing company and Department of Defense security rules and regulations, operating the company switchboard operations, administering First Aid, CPR aid, responding to alarms and other emergency situations, debriefs employees, performing single or limited number of clerical and administrative tasks, assisting with on-the-job training, providing input to security management, assuming leadership responsibilities, reviewing, troubleshooting and recommending changes, initiating and distributing shift schedules, implementing published security directives, assisting in assigning duties, tasks, prioritizing work assignments and monitoring work flow, reviewing security updates, post orders, maintaining policy and procedure manuals, identifying opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation. Knowledge, skills and abilities include strong knowledge of current computer operating system platforms, ability to communicate and converse by radio and telephone, strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to conduct lengthy walking security tours, ability to detect warning sounds and alarms, ability to work outside during various weather conditions, strong ability to screen incoming traffic, professional demeanor and behavior, full knowledge of physical security and communications systems, full knowledge and skill in First Aid, CPR and use of emergency equipment, skill and proficiency in managing emergencies, ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Personnel Security Clearance, valid driver’s license, ability to obtain and maintain a basic first aid and CPR certification. Weekly Schedule: Day - Shift Monday - 12:00 AM 8:00 AM Tuesday - 4:00 PM 12:00 AM Wednesday - 4:00 PM 12:00 AM Thursday - Off Friday - Off Saturday - 12:00 AM 8:00 AM Sunday - 12:00 AM 12:00 PM Salary Note: This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled. Combined Salary Range USD $35.15 - USD $36.86 /Hr.
