As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will provide quality care to patients in their home setting under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. You will perform direct physical therapy services in accordance with accepted standards and ensure continuity of care.

• Promotes Elara Carings philosophy, mission statement, and policies to ensure quality care.
• Follows Plan of Care as established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Verifies and provides care according to physician orders and standards.
• Incorporates patient care goals established in the Plan of Care into therapy care.
• Instructs patients and families in the use of prosthetic, orthotic, and assistive devices.
• Instructs the patient and/or caregiver in the therapy home program.
• Performs physical tasks including lifting, transferring patients, and moving equipment.
• May work irregular hours or call hours as needed.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association.
• Current, unrestricted PTA license for the state of work.
• 6+ months of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred.
• Able and willing to travel within branch coverage area (up to 50%).
• Valid drivers license, dependable vehicle, and current auto insurance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and support patient transfers.
