Housekeeping - As Needed - Long Term Care (LTC)

Facility: GSS MN Inter Falls Location: International Falls, MN Address: 2201 Keenan Dr, International Falls, MN 56649, USA Shift: Day Job Schedule: PRN Weekly Hours: Varies Salary Range: $15.00 - $17.00 Job Summary This position does not have a set schedule, but allows you to work shifts that fit into your schedule! Responsibilities Maintain a safe and sanitary environment in patient/resident rooms and assigned areas following infection control, safety, and procedural guidelines. Empty waste baskets, sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors using brooms, mops or powered machines. Keep storage, equipment and carts well‑stocked, clean and tidy. Wear proper protective equipment and follow guidelines. Assist with laundry areas as appropriate. Use pagers and other technology appropriately. Perform physical activities including lifting up to 40‑50 lbs, moving equipment, walking, stooping, twisting, squatting, etc. Be available for overtime, call, backup call, nights, days, weekends and holidays as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Minimum of six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred. Ability to use computer and prior cleaning experience helpful. Knowledge of materials, equipment, cleaning methods and cleaning chemicals helpful. Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required. Previous custodial experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
