Part-Time CookLocation: Terrace Grove Assisted Living - Logan, UtahPay: $12.00–$15.00 per hourEmployment Type: Part-timeSchedule: Morning shifts; approximately 20–25 hours per weekAbout the PositionTerrace Grove Assisted Living is seeking a dependable and experienced Part-Time Cook to prepare and serve meals for our residents. The Cook will help ensure residents receive nutritious, appealing meals in a clean, safe, and welcoming dining environment.The ideal candidate has experience preparing meals for groups, works well independently and as part of a team, and takes pride in providing quality meals and service to residents.What We OfferCompetitive pay of $12.00–$15.00 per hourApproximately 20–25 hours per weekPositive and supportive work environmentOpportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the daily experience of our residentsEssential ResponsibilitiesPrepare and cook meals according to established menus, recipes, and dietary requirements.Prepare food efficiently to ensure meals are ready and served according to schedule.Follow applicable food safety, sanitation, and kitchen safety procedures.Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and food-preparation area.Assist with receiving, storing, and monitoring food and kitchen supplies.Help monitor inventory and communicate supply needs to appropriate staff.Provide courteous and professional service to residents.Work collaboratively with other staff to support smooth meal service.Follow established procedures related to resident dietary needs and food preparation.Required QualificationsPrevious experience working as a cook or in a food-preparation role.Ability to prepare a variety of meals and follow recipes and established menus.Knowledge of safe food-handling and sanitation practices.Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.Ability to organize tasks and complete meal preparation within established timeframes.Current food handler's permit or ability to obtain one as required.Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.Preferred QualificationsExperience preparing meals for groups or institutional settings.Experience working in an assisted living, senior living, healthcare, or similar environment.Experience preparing meals from scratch.Experience working with menus that accommodate special dietary requirements.ScheduleThis is a part-time morning-shift position, and you can expect to work approximately 20–25 hours per week. Shift times may vary based on the needs of the kitchen and resident meal schedule.
