VAULT TELLER

Bank Teller

Basic paying and receiving teller duties. Oversee all Teller staff and functions of teller area. Administration of all teller transactions. Protection of Bank assets and referral of Bank products and services. Responsible for training of Tellers at branch.

Note: Only minimum responsibilities are listed. Other responsibilities may be required as requested by management.

Basic Qualifications:

• Strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
• Good interpersonal/team skills with ability to develop effective working relationships.
• High School diploma or equivalency.
• Ten key proficiency.
• Previous personal/computer experience.

Preferred:

• 1-2 years teller/cash handling experience.
• Previous recent experience using ITI Teller Platform.

Supervisory Functions:

1. Approve teller transactions that exceed check-cashing limits.
2. Ensure that tellers adhere to check cashing limits policy.
3. Provide support and resources for employees to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to be successful in their positions.
4. Promote employee relations that encourage two way communication between management and employees.
5. Establish clear performance expectations.
6. Ensure that customer service and quality standards are consistently maintained in the teller department.
7. Assist with scheduling tellers and work assignment of duties to be completed in a timely manner with the hours that are allotted.
8. Vault teller duties
9. Provide assistance with performance reviews for all tellers, including ongoing training and supervision.
10. Ensure sufficient and effective communication between main bank and auto bank.
11. Assist tellers with balancing issues.
12. Train and assist tellers with image capturing machine as needed.
13. Other duties as assigned.

Teller Functions:

1. Perform basic paying and receiving functions including cashing checks, handling deposits, savings withdrawals, loan, and escrow payments.
2. Balance currency and coin.
3. Balance cash ins and outs.
4. Process mail and night depository transactions.
5. Process cash advances, issue Visa Travel Money cards and Visa gift cards and other Bank official checks.
6. Redeem US savings bonds.
7. Order/Sell foreign currency and process foreign checks (US and Foreign funds).
8. Balance Coin Counter.
9. Responsible for overall customer service on teller line; train to keep level of service high.
10. Accurately and efficiently process all transactions/work the teller platform.
11. Responsible to follow the maintenance schedule for your assigned SCO machine.
12. Responsible for proper item storage and the protection of customer information.

Operations Functions:

1. Maintain inventory of Visa Travel Money Cards and Visa gift cards and official checks, and similar reconciliation and monitoring functions for other operational accounts.
2. Various duties in operations including reconciling cash items and teller differences.
3. Monitor holds and ensure Reg CC guidelines are followed.
4. Assist with completing monthly/quarterly audit reviews/cash audits according to policies and procedures.

Security/Cash Control:

1. Security: Possess a complete working knowledge of loss prevention and security policies and procedures.
2. Adhere to dual control procedures as defined by management.
3. Balance assigned cash/currency as defined by policy.
4. Process cash differences by end of next business day.
5. Assist with all other areas of securing the Bank's cash/coin and negotiable instruments.
6. Adhere to Bank's maximum cash limits.
7. Oversee transfer of cash to/from Auto Bank, other institutions, and Fed.
