Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Level II/III - Damage Prevention

Represent Williams in dealings with federal and state agencies Interpret regulations and coordinate with management to ensure overall compliance success Support Damage Prevention and Public Awareness programs by partnering with Operations, Project Execution, Safety, and Regulatory Compliance teams Assist with excavation-related incident investigations, evaluate excavation plans and variance requests, support third‑party line strike and near‑miss follow‑up activities Provide One‑Call Program support Assist with state and federal regulatory inspections, public awareness and outreach initiatives, annual baseline mailing programs, training content and AI agent maintenance, and required industry and regulatory reporting Monitor changes to applicable laws and regulations and support implementation of program updates as needed Track program performance metrics and identify opportunities to strengthen damage prevention and Public Awareness programs Requirements Bachelor’s degree and minimum three (3) years’ compliance‑related experience for Regulatory Compliance Specialist II Bachelor’s degree and minimum seven (7) years' compliance‑related experience for Regulatory Compliance Specialist III Ability to travel up to 35% as needed Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills Proven understanding of DOT 192 & 195 Damage Prevention & Public Awareness regulations Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in Regulatory Compliance, including a strong understanding of DOT 192 & 195 Damage Prevention & Public Awareness regulations. Capable of managing compliance‑related activities, supporting public awareness initiatives, and ensuring adherence to federal and state regulations.
