Registered Nurse - ER

Job Summary (List Format):

- Must have at least 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience
- First-time travelers are not accepted
- Previous permanent employees of Providence-affiliated facilities must have a minimum 3-month separation from the health system to be eligible
- Active compact nursing license accepted at all Swedish facilities
- Must be willing to float to different campuses
- Weekend shifts required (every other weekend)
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
- Will care for typical ED patients , including adult and pediatric populations
- Responsibilities include:
- Ambulance triage, ED holding, lobby triage
- Care for up to 40 beds (11 hallway, 29 regular)
- Breathing treatments, chest tube set-up/care, CPAP/BiPap
- Procedure sedation, RSI (rapid sequence intubation)
- Trach care, ventilator management
- Blood/blood products administration
- Cardioversion/defibrillation
- Cooling/warming blanket use
- CRRT/dialysis management
- Obtain 12 lead EKGs
- Rapid infuser use
- Schedule posted every 6 weeks
