TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, 03801!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Strong telemetry skills Experience titrating vasoactive medication such as levophed, phenylephrine, dopamine, and dobutamine Chest tube experience preferred Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit. The unit has 15 beds with a patient ratio of 4:1. Staffing support includes 1-2 LNA. Equipment used includes GE Monitors, Hamilton Bipap and Hiflo, Baxter IV Pumps, and Hemospheres. The documentation system utilized is Meditech Expanse. Scheduling requires 12 shifts per month, including 4 weekend shifts. Floating will occur on a rotation basis. Patient experience protocols require MyCare board updates during each shift. Bedside shift reports are completed at every change of shift. The unit is a Comprehensive Stroke Center and a Level 2 Trauma Center. Procedures performed include temporary pacing, pre-op preparation for cardiovascular surgeries, chest tube removal, and arterial line removal. Candidates with skills in arterial lines and Flo-Tracs will be prioritized. This unit offers a specialty in cardiovascular and vascular surgery. Mobility team support is available. Patients are monitored from a central monitor station.
