Key Responsibilities

• Order Management : Facilitate the flow of food orders from the kitchen to the dining area, ensuring that all dishes are prepared and served in a timely manner.
• Quality Control : Inspect each dish for accuracy, temperature, and presentation before it leaves the kitchen. This includes adding garnishes and making final adjustments to enhance visual appeal.
• Communication : Act as the liaison between the kitchen staff and waitstaff, relaying order details, modifications, and readiness status. Inform servers about any potential delays or issues with orders.
• Coordination : Ensure that all dishes for a table are ready simultaneously to enhance the dining experience. Manage the rhythm of the kitchen during busy periods to prevent delays.
• Sanitation Standards : Maintain cleanliness and organization at the expediting station, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience : Previous experience in a restaurant environment, preferably in a similar role, is often required.
• Communication Skills : Strong verbal communication skills are essential for effective coordination between kitchen and service staff.
• Organizational Skills : Ability to manage multiple orders and prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to Detail : A keen eye for detail to ensure that all dishes meet the restaurant's quality standards before serving.
