FLSTECH1 - Field Services Technician 1

Position Overview Part‑time driver courier, working Saturdays and Sundays only (07:00–16:00). The role involves providing ALS clients with sampling activities, pick‑ups, and drop‑offs between Middletown and King of Prussia. Responsibilities Drive in assigned territories as directed by supervisor and pick‑up samples for delivery to the Middletown Office or Regional Service Center. Provide ALS clients with all necessary sampling activities, sample pick‑ups and drop‑offs. Communicate recurring bottles orders and directions to the Field Services Coordinator for scheduling. Submit recurring bottles order and directions to the Field Services Coordinator for scheduling. Provide a complete daily sampling log in the bound Field Logbook. Assist part/full‑time couriers with chain of custody, bottle preparation, and maps/directions for their assigned duties. Store all samples in a cooler with ice and deliver them to ALS Sample Receiving. Provide an accurate and completed chain of custody record for any sample in possession. Convey any ALS client requests or concerns to the Field Services Supervisor or appropriate Customer Service Representative. Maintain routine vehicle maintenance, including fluid checks and replacements, and exterior/ interior cleaning of the company vehicle. Ensure compliance with field service sampling plan, assigned SOPs, QA manual and ALS Client Service Manual. Maintain professional appearance and conduct toward ALS staff and clients. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Current driver’s license with clean driving record. Ability to operate a company vehicle. Knowledge of the region and ability to read maps. Willingness to take ownership for meeting goals and objectives and to be accountable for own decisions. Ability to find new ways to accomplish objectives. Strong English verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, staff and management. Multitasking, organization, attention to detail, and problem‑solving capabilities with good time management. Self‑motivated and self‑directed, able to work independently. Required Qualifications High school education. Interest in science helpful but not required. 1+ year experience as a courier, driver, messenger, or related position. Physical Requirements Speak and hear clearly while communicating with co‑workers, department team members, management, and clients. Lifting up to 50 lbs consistently (may request and use a dolly for heavy loads). Sitting, driving, and walking for 100% of an 8‑hour day. Ability to get in and out of the vehicle. Hand and finger dexterity to operate vehicle, computer and other equipment. Average vision sufficient to read reports and operate vehicle and office equipment.
