Mechanical Engineer PE I Location: St. Louis, Missouri Type: Contract Compensation: $100,000.00 to $150,000.00 Work Model: Hybrid – onsite and remote Overview The Mechanical Engineer PE I applies standard engineering techniques to design, analyze, test, maintain, repair, or improve products, components, or assemblies. Responsibilities Apply standard engineering techniques to design, analyze, test, maintain, repair, or improve products, components, or assemblies. Responsible for signing and sealing engineering documents. Analyze, develop, and evaluate systems. Improve and maintain current systems or create new projects. Design and draft blueprints, visit systems in the field, and manage projects. Apply engineering techniques and analyses within the scope of the assignment. Perform work under general supervision. Handle complex issues and problems, referring only the most complex issues to higher-level staff. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering and Professional Engineer License (PE) 4-6 years of experience Working knowledge of the subject matter Critical thinking skills Problem solving skills Mathematic skills Computer skills Technical expertise Effective verbal and written communication skills Detail oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary Travel requirement: 5-10% of time spent traveling to job site(s)/office location Physical/Work Environment Requirements: ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles; climbing stairs; moving self in different positions; working in tight and confined spaces; repeating motions; operating machinery and power tools; outdoor elements; noisy environment; light to heavy work including lifting 20-100 pounds System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
