Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while engaging with clients through our telehealth platform. Our telehealth facility ensures that you can maintain effective communication with clients using secure video conferencing tools, electronic health records (EHR) systems, and collaborative software. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments to accurately identify clients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans that address their specific circumstances.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to diverse populations, including individuals, couples, and families, employing modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy.
  • Facilitate psychoeducational and support groups that foster a sense of community and address common mental health issues.
  • Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to deliver coordinated and holistic care for clients.
  • Offer crisis intervention services, providing immediate support and guidance to clients experiencing mental health emergencies.
  • Educate clients about various mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources, empowering them on their path to recovery.
  • Maintain detailed and confidential documentation of client interactions and treatment plans in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities to enhance skills and share best practices.
  • Stay informed about the latest research and developments in mental health therapy to ensure that your approach remains relevant and effective.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be serving a diverse clientele, including individuals experiencing various mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and relationship challenges. Our organization is dedicated to providing equitable care, and your role will inherently contribute to reducing barriers to mental health access in the community. Each session will focus on empowering clients to embrace their mental health journeys and promoting resilience through our therapeutic processes.

Qualifications

  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid and current licensure as an LMHC in New York State.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and various therapeutic approaches.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in conducting mental health assessments and formulating effective and comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Experience providing individual and group counseling to a diverse array of patients.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong ability to establish rapport with clients.
  • Sound professional judgment, ethics, and adherence to prescribed boundaries.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and related technology.
  • A collaborative spirit, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience in telehealth counseling and knowledge of best practices for virtual therapy.
  • Specialized training in evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as DBT, EMDR, or trauma-informed care.

Compensation and Benefits

The expected annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive pay, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:
