Huron Valley Schools is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, and innovative Social Studies Teacher to fulfill a vacancy in the district. Position Type: Instructional/Middle School Social Studies Location: Muir Middle School Salary: Per HVEA contract Reports To: Principal Status: 2026-2027 Start Date: 08/25/2026

Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with Social Studies endorsement (RX)
• Willingness to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment

Education and/or Experience:

• Degree from an accredited college

Language, Mathematical and Reasoning Skills:

• Ability to speak and write effectively
• Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations
• Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral format and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
