Public Accounting firm, originally founded over 40 years ago, providing Tax, accounting and business advisory services is seeking a full-time in office Staff Accountant. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple projects. This position will have direct access to firm partners to assist in the candidate’s professional development.

 

General Responsibilities:

• Maintaining and Analyzing Financial Records both internally as well as assisting clients to maintain accurate financial records.
• Preparing Financial Statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with relevant standards like GAAP.

Specific Duties:

• Maintaining and updating general ledgers.
• Reconciling bank statements.
• Analyzing financial data.
• Preparing financial reports (e.g., balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements).
• Sales and Use tax returns.

Skills and Qualifications:

• 3 – 5 years of accounting experience.
• Education: A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is preferred
• Attention to Detail, meticulous accuracy in financial reports and records is crucial.
• Technical Proficiency with Quickbooks or similar accounting software packages, Excel, Word, and Outlook is essential.
• Communication skills to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues, both verbally and in writing.
