About the role

Currie & Brown is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager – Electrical to support a major semiconductor manufacturing and tool hookup program in Phoenix, Arizona . This role will focus heavily on electrical scope management, cost management, subcontractor coordination, estimating, change management, and commercial oversight within a fast-paced mission-critical construction environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience supporting semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, cleanroom, or mission-critical construction projects with deep expertise in electrical systems and construction delivery.

Responsibilities will include:

— Manage electrical construction cost activities throughout the project lifecycle

— Prepare and review detailed estimates, budgets, forecasts, and cost reports

— Review subcontractor pricing, change orders, progress payments, and contract documentation

— Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis for electrical systems and related infrastructure

— Support procurement activities, bid evaluations, and commercial negotiations

— Track project expenditures, identify variances, and provide cost mitigation recommendations

— Work closely with project managers, contractors, vendors, and client stakeholders to support project delivery objectives

— Support forecasting, earned value reporting, and commercial risk management activities

— Participate in project meetings, reporting, and cost reviews across multiple active project scopes

— Ensure cost reporting accuracy and alignment with project controls and governance requirements

Requirements

— Proven experience in quantity surveying, cost management, estimating, or commercial management within electrical construction environments

— Experience supporting semiconductor, cleanroom, data center, advanced manufacturing, or mission-critical projects preferred

— Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction sequencing, and field coordination

— Experience with change management, forecasting, budgeting, and cost reporting

— Ability to review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation

— Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

— Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline preferred

Professional certifications such as RICS, AACE, PMP, or similar are a plus
