Job Description: The Network Architect will support design of a secure, highly available network architecture to integrate an automated Warehouse Execution System (WES) to modernize DoD's largest Distribution Center.
Review existing and proposed network architectures to ensure fit for purpose. Support configuration of network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls. Define VLANs across the OT network to maximize security and performance. Prepare for and conduct activities in compliance with Federal Guidelines. Create complete and accurate information on the network and associated equipment, including network drawings, PPSM and flow diagrams. Identify network weaknesses and deficiencies. Looking for at least 7 years experience in network architecture, operations, management, A DoD TIER III Security Clearance and compliance with 814/8570 (e.g., SEC+). Additional responsibilities to include team coordination and weekly client touch point presentation.

Job Responsibilities: Network Architecture and Design:
- Design and review network architecture in support of vendor hardware integration within an existing DOD infrastructure.
- Document, coordinate, and track network initiatives and efforts to completion. Efforts include vendor coordination, requirements gathering, Change request submittals and participation in network and network solutioning discussions.
- Prioritize and track current team efforts and initiatives.
- Record, report, and manage ongoing IT initiatives to include status updates, RFI submittals and vendor tracking.
- Present weekly client facing status of initiatives - touchpoint meeting.
- Will coordinate efforts with an additional network architect and systems administrator.
- Provide capabilities of reviewing network design and overseeing the physical deployment of network infrastructure.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure the successful execution of network deployment projects.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation for network configuration, security measures and physical deployment projects.
- Create and update network diagrams, connectivity test procedures, standard operation procedures (SOPs) related to network and security deployment.
- Proven experience in implementing and managing network infrastructure.
- Familiarity with Visio or similar diagramming application.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to articulate complex infrastructure concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address network issues.
- Capacity to analyze and interpret network logs and event data.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related (STEM) field.
- CCNA or other relevant certifications.
- Proven experience in network engineering.
- Experience with Forescout and IDS technologies a plus.
- Knowledge of network security best practices and protocols a plus.
