Department Administrator II
You'll play a key role in supporting both people and operations across the department. You'll partner with leadership to plan and support department goals and initiatives. You'll help coordinate day-to-day operations so teams can work efficiently. You'll support budgeting and track financial activities. You'll assist with staffing processes, scheduling, and general personnel support. You'll help ensure processes and documentation meet required standards. You'll organize meetings, materials, and communications for leaders and teams. You'll contribute to clinical, research, or program initiatives by keeping projects moving forward. You'll identify opportunities to improve workflows and solve problems proactively.
We're looking for someone who is organized, dependable, and confident working with leadership teams. Experience supporting department operations or senior leaders is required. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are needed. Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay flexible as needs shift is required. Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset are required. Comfort working with budgets, data, or reporting processes is required. A proactive approach is required. You anticipate needs and take initiative. Interest in supporting healthcare, research, or mission-driven work is required.

The starting annual salary for this position is $103,870 and this can include a full comprehensive benefits package.
Required Education and Experience: 1. Master's degree and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time experience in an academic, business, healthcare, scientific or related administration setting, including eighteen (18) months experience in a supervisory, consultative, managerial or executive role; or 2. Bachelor's degree and the equivalent of five (5) years of full-time experience in an academic, business, healthcare, scientific or related administration setting, including eighteen (18) months experience in a supervisory, consultative, managerial or executive role; or 3. Associate's degree and the equivalent of seven (7) years of full-time experience in an academic, business, healthcare, scientific or related administration setting, including eighteen (18) months experience in a supervisory, consultative, managerial or executive role. Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.
