We are seeking a licensed attorney to join the Chapter 13 Trustee Office in Las Vegas. This is an excellent opportunity for a new or junior attorney who is interested in Chapter 13 bankruptcy or an experienced practitioner. The successful candidate will receive hands-on training, meaningful responsibility, and the opportunity to develop a comprehensive knowledge of Chapter 13 bankruptcy.  

Key Responsibilities

·       Assist with Chapter 13 bankruptcy matters, including case review, review of proofs of claims, plan review, and other related filings.

·       Conduct legal research and analysis regarding bankruptcy issues, Trustee duties and responsibilities, debtor and creditor rights, consumer finance, civil procedure, and applicable federal, state, and local laws.

·       Draft, review, and revise pleadings, motions, memoranda, correspondence, and other legal documents filed with the Court and respond as appropriate.

·       Attend court hearings, 341 meetings of creditors and other proceedings as appropriate.

·       Communicate professionally with all parties to a case, including but not limited to, opposing counsel, court personnel, creditors, debtors, and other trustees, as well as internally with office team members.

·       Manage deadlines, case files, and assigned matters with attention to detail and responsiveness.

·       Work collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to provide high-quality legal services in a high-volume setting.
