Credentialed Coder PRN

Position Details Position is for: Physician Based Coding (Status: PRN, as needed) Must live in NC and be an NC resident Job Summary The Certified Coder will provide coding and abstracting services necessary for compilation of accurate medical information/administrative statistical reports. This position will be responsible for applying guidelines for appropriate accurate fiscal reimbursement and comply with Federal Regulatory, Intermediary, PRO, and other reviewing organizational requirements. Minimum Requirements CPC preferred; will also accept RHIA, RHIT, and/or CCS. Computer data entry required. Credential eligible or equivalent courses in Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology, and Medical Office Practice or three to five years of experience in ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT/HCPCS coding.
