Contract: W2 only, 18 month contract with potential for extension or conversion to full time with the client
Pay: $ 35/hour + optional medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match

Overview

You will collaborate to develop ideas/thoughts into physical reality. Architecture & Facilities Engineering (A&FE) is looking for an Electrical Engineer to support the development and sustainment of projects throughout the Resort. The department supports a wide range of project types including Attractions, Maintenance, Foods, Merchandise, and Entertainment. Projects range from minor renovations to new facilities and include immediate response efforts with reactionary projects. The objective of this position is to act as the Electrical Design Owner's Representative with technical expertise for electrical engineering issues, design management of in-house and outside resources, code compliance, design standards, documentation, specifications, and life cycle cost analysis for best value. This role involves close collaboration with multiple engineering disciplines and teams including FAM, WDI, Entertainment, and Operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute the design and construction process for small to large-scale projects performed internally.
• Assemble construction documents and specifications.
• Assist Project Managers and Design Managers with design scope management.
• Coordinate design materials for review and approval.
• Develop and maintain design standards.
• Conduct product research and resource evaluation.
• Develop RFPs and construction documents.
• Coordinate photo documentation of existing conditions, prototypes, and completed projects.
• Maintain design logs and track deliverables from internal and external partners.
• Manage design resource libraries and vendor coordination.
• Provide direct construction support.
• Conduct field verifications including measurements, existing condition assessments, and product data collection.
• Maintain project specification manuals and documentation archives.
• Expedite sample submittals required for final design approvals.
• Participate in weekly design coordination meetings.
• Assist with resolving design compliance issues.
• Research availability of as-built drawings.
• Support Executive Design Reviews including logistics and coordination.
• Prepare decision matrices supporting executive leadership decisions.

Required Skills

• Familiarity with California Electrical Code.
• Familiarity with IEEE electrical low voltage standards (Brown, Buff, and Red Book).
• Familiarity with California Energy Code (Title 24).
• Ability to develop electrical concepts and improve electrical safety practices and procedures.
• Minimum 2 years of engineering experience in a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of AutoCAD experience.
• Minimum 2 years of Revit experience.

Required Education

• BS Engineering from an ABET or ACCSC accredited university.

Preferred Skills

• Professional Internship experience.
• Lighting design experience.
• Low-voltage electrical design experience.
