Executive Producer

Role Overview

The Executive Producer is a key member of BZ Media's creative team, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day execution of our video production operations. This role ensures that content moves efficiently from concept through production, editing, approval, and distribution while maintaining high standards of quality, creativity, and consistency.

The Executive Producer will directly manage BZ Media's video editors and coordinate the production workflow across internal team members, freelance editors, and external production partners. This individual will be responsible for establishing and managing production timelines, assigning projects, tracking deliverables, overseeing the publishing of content across BZ Media's social and digital channels, and monitoring performance metrics to inform future content decisions.

Working closely with the Creative Director and other members of the team, the Executive Producer will translate creative ideas into actionable production plans and ensure the team has the resources, direction, and accountability necessary to deliver compelling content at scale.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented production leader who thrives in a fast-paced creative environment, can manage multiple projects simultaneously, and understands the demands of digital-first video production.

Key Responsibilities

Video Production Management

• Oversee the day-to-day management of BZ Media's video production pipeline, ensuring projects move efficiently from concept to final delivery.
• Develop and maintain production schedules, project timelines, and content delivery calendars.
• Coordinate all stages of video production, including pre-production planning, asset collection, editing, revisions, approvals, and final delivery.
• Translate creative briefs and organizational priorities into clear production assignments, timelines, and deliverables.
• Manage multiple video projects simultaneously, prioritizing assignments based on deadlines, strategic objectives, and available resources.
• Identify production bottlenecks, anticipate delays, and proactively implement solutions to keep projects on schedule.
• Establish and maintain standardized production workflows that improve efficiency, accountability, and output.

Video Editor & Production Team Management

• Directly supervise and manage internal and freelance video editors, including assigning projects, establishing deadlines, and monitoring performance.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for editors regarding project assignments, production expectations, timelines, and deliverables.
• Provide clear, actionable feedback throughout the editing process to ensure videos meet creative briefs, quality standards, and brand guidelines.
• Manage editor workloads and capacity, balancing assignments to maximize productivity while maintaining quality.
• Establish consistent processes for revisions, approvals, file organization, asset management, and final delivery.
• Identify opportunities to improve team performance through training, new tools, technology, and production best practices.
• Support the recruitment, onboarding, and management of freelance editors and production vendors as needed.

Creative Production & Quality Control

• Partner closely with the Creative Director to translate creative concepts and content priorities into executable production plans.
• Collaborate with content producers, creators, and other creative partners to ensure necessary footage, scripts, graphics, and other assets are available for editing.
• Review video content throughout the production process to ensure consistency, accuracy, technical quality, and alignment with BZ Media's creative vision.
• Manage the internal review and approval process, consolidating feedback and ensuring revisions are completed efficiently.
• Ensure final content is properly formatted and optimized for distribution across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other digital channels.
• Work with the creative team to continuously improve storytelling, pacing, editing techniques, and overall production quality.

Production Systems & Operational Efficiency

• Implement and maintain project management systems that provide clear visibility into production status, deadlines, assignments, and deliverables.
• Establish regular production meetings and reporting processes to track progress, identify challenges, and maintain accountability.
• Develop scalable workflows and processes that support increasing content volume without compromising quality.
• Maintain organized systems for video files, raw footage, creative assets, project documentation, and final deliverables.
• Evaluate emerging production tools, including AI-powered editing and workflow technologies, to improve efficiency and expand production capacity.
• Monitor production output, turnaround times, and editor performance to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with senior leadership on production resources, staffing needs, and external vendor expenditures.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with the Creative Director to align production schedules with content strategy and organizational priorities.
• Coordinate with content producers, social media team members, and external partners to ensure content is ready for timely publication.
• Maintain clear communication with team members and leadership regarding production progress, deadlines, and potential challenges.
• Support the development and execution of new video series, creative formats, and digital storytelling initiatives.
• Oversee the timely publishing of video content across BZ Media's social and digital channels, ensuring content is properly scheduled, formatted, and optimized for each platform.
• Monitor content performance and audience metrics and use insights to inform future production and content decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in content production, post-production management, digital media, or related fields.
• Demonstrated experience managing video editors, freelance production teams, or post-production workflows.
• Strong project management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Familiarity with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or similar platforms.
• Experience with project management tools such as Monday.com, Asana, ClickUp, Frame.io, or similar production workflow systems.
• Strong understanding of short-form digital video content and the production requirements of platforms including Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to anticipate and solve production challenges.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to provide clear direction, constructive feedback, and accountability to creative teams.
• Ability to balance creative quality with operational efficiency and tight production timelines.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted video production and editing technologies is a plus.

Working Conditions

The is a full-time remote position based in the United States with flexible hours, but may require occasional travel for organizational meetings or events. Domestic travel expenses to meetings and events will be covered by the organization as will travel expenses for organizationally mandated travel outside of the United States. The team member will be expected to work collaboratively with colleagues, partners and stakeholders across different time zones and cultures. Compensation

BZ Media offers a competitive compensation package designed to recognize and reward experience, performance and impact. The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $110,000 annually . In addition to base pay, employees receive generous paid time off including vacation days, sick leave and recognized holidays as well as a monthly technology stipend. We also provide opportunities to participate in a comprehensive benefits program, including medical and vision insurance, as well as a retirement savings plan to support long-term financial well-being.
