Media Sales Account Executive

WVRC Media is proud to be one of West Virginia’s largest, most innovative and influential media companies - and we’re looking for our newest team member. We’re currently seeking a Media Sales Account Executive to work with businesses to develop integrated advertising solutions across digital, video and broadcast platforms. This full-time sales position is based in Morgantown and serves clients throughout north-central West Virginia and portions of southwestern Pennsylvania. This is a client-facing sales position that combines account management, new business development and advertising strategy. Our portfolio of products includes cutting-edge digital marketing tools, award-winning video production and some of the most recognized radio stations in the state. In this role, you’ll manage and grow an established base of clients while developing new business throughout the market. You’ll meet with business owners and decision-makers, identify marketing opportunities, develop advertising strategies and sell a full suite of digital, video and broadcast media products and services. This position offers a base salary plus commission, with compensation tied to sales performance and significant opportunity for income growth. What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate combines an understanding of advertising and marketing with the drive to succeed in sales. They are a good listener who asks thoughtful questions, communicates ideas clearly and can turn what they learn about a business into useful recommendations. They are confident meeting new people, initiating conversations with business owners, presenting ideas, asking for the business and developing long‑term client relationships. Key Responsibilities Develop new business by identifying prospects, making connections and presenting marketing solutions. Manage and grow an established base of clients by identifying new opportunities and maintaining strong client relationships. Identify each client’s marketing objectives and challenges, then develop strategies and messages designed to address them. Meet regularly with clients to discuss their needs, present new ideas and identify ways our advertising solutions can help. Work with our in‑house creative, digital and management teams to build and execute campaigns and promotions. Establish clear campaign objectives, review performance with clients and recommend changes when appropriate. Stay current on advertising trends, promotional ideas, media options and new marketing technology. What You Bring Understanding of marketing and advertising principles. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Comfortable prospecting for new business and initiating contact with prospective clients. Education or professional experience in marketing, communications, business or a related field. Self‑directed and disciplined with the ability to manage time and daily activity independently. Comfortable learning and using technology, including AI tools, to improve productivity, communication and client results. Self‑motivated and results‑driven with the ability to work independently. Reliable transportation required.
