Job Summary The Sr. Facilities Specialist will sit in our Plano, Texas location and provide support to the Sr. Manager, Facilities Management, by engaging and coordinating with external vendors for the procurement of facility‑related supplies and equipment, supporting space planning initiatives and assisting with office layout changes as needed, and helping ensure the optimal utilization of the organization’s buildings and operations. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy and vision of the organization. Education And Experience 4‑year / Bachelor’s Degree (Required) In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Two (2) or more years experience in Contract Management (Required) Two (2) or more years experience in Facilities Management (Required) Four (4) or more years experience in a related field (Required) No licensure or certification required. Solicit bids, negotiate contracts, and ensure services meet established standards and budgets. Identify opportunities for cost savings through efficient resource management and strategic vendor partnerships. Analyze pricing and service agreements to ensure competitive rates. Track and report on expenditures, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints. Assist in the preparation of the annual facilities budget, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Generate reports on facility performance, maintenance costs, and resource utilization for management review. Monitor and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Maintain comprehensive records of all facilities‑related activities, including maintenance logs, service contracts, and compliance documentation. Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding facilities issues and updates. Collaborate with management to assess space needs and recommend optimal office layouts to support productivity and collaboration. Coordinate moves, reorganizations, and space allocations as necessary. Track occupancy levels and usage patterns to inform future space planning and resource allocation decisions. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to building safety, health, and environmental standards as necessary. Coordinate safety training and emergency preparedness drills for staff.
