Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize our Oracle databases to ensure high performance, availability, and security. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Oracle database administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting, with experience in implementing disaster recovery strategies and supporting mission-critical applications. Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize our Oracle databases to ensure high performance, availability, and security. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Oracle database administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting, with experience in implementing disaster recovery strategies and supporting mission-critical applications. Key Responsibilities:
- Database Administration:
- Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database instances.
- Create and maintain database objects such as tables, indexes, and views.
- Database Performance Optimization:
- Monitor database performance, conduct tuning, and ensure efficient SQL execution.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle Database Administration.
- Experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and Goldengate is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle 12c/18c/19c/21c or higher.
- Technical Skills:
- In-depth understanding of Oracle database architecture and data management.
- Experience with SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle database scripting.
- Proficiency in performance tuning, backup, recovery, and database replication.
- Familiarity with monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., Oracle Enterprise Manager, SQL*Plus, TOAD, etc.).
- Experience with cloud-based Oracle database solutions (e.g., Oracle Cloud, AWS RDS, etc.) is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
